We’re excited to announce Brent Wall, founder of Peaks Precast, as one of this year’s Startup Story panelists at the Ascent Launch Event on January 22.

Brent is building innovative precast structural solutions in Buena Vista, helping address some of Colorado’s biggest challenges around construction efficiency, housing delivery, and workforce sustainability. His work represents the kind of practical, forward-thinking innovation coming out of rural communities across the state.
Earlier this month, Peaks Precast was featured in a statewide announcement from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), and Governor Jared Polis. The announcement highlighted new loans and grants aimed at strengthening Colorado’s off-site construction industry — with Peaks Precast recognized for its innovative manufacturing approach that reduces concrete use and helps speed up foundation installation for modular and off-site building technologies.
Peaks Precast was awarded an IHIP early-stage business pathway grant to support prototype production, with eligibility for additional future funding. The recognition places Brent and his team among a select group of manufacturers shaping the future of housing, jobs, and construction in Colorado.
Brent’s Startup Story interview at the Ascent Launch Event will dive deeper into what it takes to build in this space – the lessons learned, the challenges faced, and the opportunities ahead for entrepreneurs working at the intersection of innovation and community impact.
